Summer 2023 with Interludes with Impact and the Mobile Stage
The Inspiration for Interludes with Impact, came from Jim Steinman's Music, specifically Meatloaf's Hit I would do anything for love but i won't do that . In the last portion of the song, the female lyricist proclaims it was a brief "Interlude " on a midsomers night fling. That Word Interludes coupled with my burning desire to help others became Interludes with Impact

In a five decade span (1977 to present) Doug Deforest has been a constant in the country music, gospel and pop business. His love affair with music and hatred for shoes both began in 1972, and over the years has worked with, produced or recorded with such artists as Mickey Gilley, Pam Tillis, Glenn Campbell, Tony Orlando, Ray Price, Blessid Union of Souls, and many many more
Change is a must in the music business, and Deforest reinvents himself with every turn of the musical wheel. Artist, Television personality, Writer and Producer, Deforest moves from one to the other with ease as the situation presents itself. Born in Missouri, brought up in the music business in Houston, Texas, and now calling Cherokee Village, Arkansas home, Deforest opened Lake Paradise Studio five years ago with a vision that artists could use the serene lakeside studio as a refuge from the day to day hustle of city life. Maggie is a dear friend of our, and this song is my wife's favorite. It is a great song paying tribute to our soldiers and the families they leave at home. Maggie has flown in from Missouri multiple times to help us with fundraisers, and has the biggest heart you can imagine. Currently she is ill with a genetic pre-condition that is affecting her entire family, plus some other illnesses that have slowed her down in 2023.
Please join me in sending up a prayer for her and her family. Hopefully she will be able to Join us again here in Maryland.
